[Stop Reading My Name]

I think I have a super virus! It's broken my norton 360, it has taken over my computer, brings up internet explorer ads (ads on internet explorer, not ads about internet explorer) and it closes the explorer.exe process if a windows window (such as computer) has been opened. I'm so glad I'm allowed to use the task manager with this thing...

anways, do you think I should try and get hijack this on there?

Oh yea, it's also completely broken my firefox.

If possible I'd like to fix this without wiping the hard drive and having to re-install all my crap..

Windows defender (the only antivirus still working) says it's a:

BrowserModifier:Win32/Fotomoto

The process that I believe is causing all this is rundll32.exe, as this hasn't been in the processes since this stuff started happening, I can't end it without it restarting 2 more of itself. Computer only really works in safe mode.

Download Hijackthis Installer from [color=\"#FF0000\"]HERE[/color]
For an alternate download location, you can try HERE
SAVE it to your desktop
Double click on HJTInstall.exe to run it
Choose Install

Hijackthis v2.0.2 will open

Under Main Menu, Select
Do a system scan and save a Log file
A log will open in Notepad
Copy and Paste the Whole log back here to the forum----It is all important!

I would like to see this log from running in Normal Windows
But if all you can supply is safe mode log, do so

I'm going to write it to a CD and see if that works..

I don't think I'm going to be able to get it to work in normal mode, I'll try a few more times though.

Now I just have to get it from that computer to this one.

Download the next 2 tools and save them too the desktop of the infected computer

Download [color=\"blue\"]VundoFix.exe[/color]
We'll need it in a bit

Download ATF Cleaner
Again, we will need this in a bit

Before we begin, can you disable the protection in Windows Defender so it won't interrupt any of the fixes we try
Leave it disabled till After we have you clear
Open Windows Defender.
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.


Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

On Windows Vista that "Windows Temp" is disabled, to empty "Windows Temp" ATF-Cleaner must be "Run as an Administrator"

Vundofix

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files,  click YES
  
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button."

Post back all the following, all in Normal Windows if possible

I meant to have you reboot the computer after you uninstalled older versions of Java and before installed newest
Sorry about that
But it looks like it installed fine

Go ahead and delete the Java installer from desktop
You can also delete Vundofix.exe and VundoFix folder on desktop
Also, delete this folder C:\Vundofix backups
and the text file C:\vundofix.txt

You can go back and reenable your protections with Windows Defender
