explorer.exe - Application Error (Win2k)
« on: November 09, 2002, 12:23:30 PM »
I\'ve been getting the following error more and more frequently:

Explorer.exe - Application Error

The instruction at \"0x77fce69a\" referenced memory at \"0x00000000\".The memory could not be \"read\".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I get this error just about everytime i open a folder on my desktop, and often when i\'m booting up and getting to the desktop also. I\'ll click \'cancel\' and then \'ok\' and my desktop goes blank, then comes back, but icons in the system tray are gone (though the programs are still running). I\'ve seen this before, even to the point where the desktop does NOT recover and the only thing to do is restart. This isn\'t that bad - yet, i\'m hoping i can fix it. Any suggestions for a fix? Esp. if you\'ve had/seen this problem before - what did you do?
Thanks Much,
Harkstone
