Help!

Hey guestolo, can you help me?

I have a Acer Windows Vista computer, I let it get the newest updates.

I restarted it and it went "The computer has had a problem with the updates etc"
It either has
Start Windows Normally or Fix the problem
I've tried both, It wont let me.
What should I do?

Can you try the following
Boot from the VistaCD
choose language, time, currency and keyboard settings
Select “Repair your computer” and your Vista installation
Pick a restore point previous of the update

Does that get you back into Windows?

I don't have a Windows VistaCD..

Is there any other way?

And how much would a CD Cost?

Your OEM should have provided you with a Vista CD upon purchase of your computer, but if you have misplaced it or if for some reason you did not receive one, you should be able to pick up a Vista CD for about $10-$20 at a local store. They are pretty cheap when all you need is the software, its when you need the license included that they get expensive.

I'm not running Vista, but I've seen others with this problem
Can you boot into Safe mode?

When creating your own Vista CD there are many steps to go through and quite a lot that can go wrong, plus you need multiple pieces of software installed. I'm a lazy person and find it much easier to just purchase the CD so that you know what you have will work. Eliminating unnecessary variables is always a good thing to do. However, if you feel up to it and have all the required programs and utilities available, then that second link would work fine.

The download may be worth a try
I actually am using Utorrent right now trying it to see how quick the 120mb can be downloaded
Started the download about 5 minutes ago
I'm already at 37% downloaded, estimated finish time is another 5 minutes
After the download, burning the ISO would only take another 5 minutes

So if you have an extra CDR or CDRW around, might be worth the try
