Audio cable/connector replacement?
« on: April 01, 2008, 08:30:47 PM »
Okay, I know my way around a computer but I'm a total noob when it comes to computer parts/hardware/accessories and how easy it is to replace them.

I've had a set of speakers/subwoofer for a few years. They're great, but one of the cords is finally going bad.

The sub is connected to the electricity and powers the speakers, which also have jacks into it. The volume control and audio connector slot cord thing (idk what to call it, the jack you'd put headphones in) also go into the sub.

The long audio cord is going bad though and I can only get sound out of the left side of the system. I know it's not the speaker itself, bc I have headphones plugged into the volume control for the whole system.

Know I totally botched explain that, but basic question is whether or not/how easy and expensive it'll be to get a new cord?
