VGA Output on newer HP laptops
« on: April 01, 2008, 10:18:44 PM »
I use an external monitor on my HP laptop and it has always made me mad that newer HP laptops don't have screw-holes to screw in the VGA cable. When I plug in the cable, I just have to let it sit there and anytime I move even a little bit, it falls out. I tried ducktape, but the sticky side melted and my entire room smelled like glue for a week. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this problem, any solutions?

hmmm, my lappy has the nuts for VGA
They either removed them for room or worried about users yanking on the cable when they walk away with it plugged in
I seen one user say they used velcro

I would try and find a glue and the proper size nuts, they should extend probably no further than the vga connection face
