« on: April 20, 2008, 01:00:14 PM »
Hi,

I am need of some techie help.

My PC is running on XP pro SP2.

Everytime I start up the PC I get the message = windows cannot find "C:\windows\sembako-cjzllh.exe" make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. to search the file click start button and click search

I have searched and cannot locate this file.

Oh I have the following SW. Comodo Firewall, AVG Antivirus and AntiSpyware bot. As far as these SW are concerned Im clean and have no spies hanging around

Searching the net for answers has led me to believe that I need some help from HiJackthis and you of course the techie expert that can guide me, a mere simpleton through the process of getting rid of this annoying pop up.

We have a bit of clearing to do

Can you do the following for me please
Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe "C:\WINDOWS\sembako-cjzjllh.exe"
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {327C2873-E90D-4c37-AA9D-10AC9BABA46C} - (no file)

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AntiSpywareBot] C:\Program Files\AntiSpywareBot\AntiSpywareBot.exe -boot

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [Microsoft Office] svxhost.exe (User 'SYSTEM')
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [Windows DNS Daemon] windnsd.exe (User 'SYSTEM')
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [Win32 FRT Driver] msfr32.exe (User 'SYSTEM')
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [Tok-Cirrhatus] (User 'SYSTEM')

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\RunServices: [MSN] msn.exe (User 'SYSTEM')

O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\RunServices: [MSN] msn.exe (User 'Default user')
O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Afterwards: Go into your Add and Remove programs and remove
AntiSpywareBot

It is not recommended
Quote
A ROGUE program. utility that uses false positives to lure the user into buying the product.

Ensure to reboot the computer after doing any of the above

Back in Windows

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here
Save the installer to desktop

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.

  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
        * When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)

  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

In addition, to the above log
Download [color=\"#008000\"]Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe)[/color] to your desktop.
Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, two text files will open; main.txt, which will be maximized and extra.txt, which will be minimized.

Post back just the Whole contents of Main.txt and Extra.txt
