How To Make Windows XP Startup Faster?

Hi there!

Currently, i\'m using windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 running at Pentium III 667Mhz with 256 SDRAM. my question to the board is, How To Make Windows XP Startup Faster? Can i tweak the registry? how to do so? because i notice that windows ME startup is faster than windows XP.
please advice.

Got almost the same system P3 700 , 3x256 mb sdram  .My fsb is 100.
I need 65\" to get to my desktop  and 105 to have everything setup ( and I have an internet connection ) on my taskbar .
If I count the time my computer needs to setup scsi card ,drives and cdroms  you may add 15\" .My complete setup takes 120\". You can use  BootVis.exe , and perhaps eliminate some taskbar setups you can setup later only when you need them (in the registry \"run\"  and  the startup folder from the startmenue ) .The more you have installed that has to be activated or  simply does activate ,at the startup , the longer it takes .I do not think that a P4 will make a lot of difference ,
