It cut off twice while trying to post this -.-

Here is the link: http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/views...7CEF73431D926C3

It's not an overheating problem either. It does cut off A LOT less than it does when i have 2GB RAM in.

So i'm not too sure the problem =/

Also, if you scroll down and look at the RAM that's compatible with my system, i have the first one. the DDR 1GBx2 3200

What cut off twice??
Did you try the 2-1 gigs without the 512 installed?

Well, i figured it out. I put 2 1gigs of RAM in my computer a few weeks ago which is what caused it to turn off by itself at random. I then put back my 512 RAM and it hasn't done it since. I dont know why putting more RAM would make it do that =/ But i'd still like to see what could be done to fix it.
So does your computer still restart or doesn't it?

I havent tried the 2 1gigs without the other memory in.

Hmm, i guess i'll try that and yah, that's what i meant. Cut off twice during my last post. The thing is, it doesnt actually turn off or restart, it just turns my monitor black and anything i was doing such as browsing, listening to music, etc is gone. It's as if it turned off but didnt. I still have to hold the power button in and restart it that way when it does that.

But i'm going to go ahead and put the 2 1gigs in without any other memory and see how that does. Slower with the 512 in and cuts off less often but with the 2gig in, cuts off frequently and runs faster. Heh

EDIT: **Tried doing the 2gig alone combo and other combos but it turns off after about 5-15 min.

I'm sure it's the right memory..So i'm not too sure.

when you installed the 2 sticks of 1 gig

You should have 2 white clips for Memory and 2 black clips
Use banks 1 and 2
They will be the white clips

The order I believe is 1>3>2>4
See if it freezes or restarts, if it does, remove one of the 1 gigs
from bank 2

Try the single stick alone, if it freezes
Remove stick from bank 1 and replace with the other 1gig stick

Oh well, i give up. Tried it. Still cuts off. Only it didn't even get to the loading screen. It might be the memory, it might be my motherboard or something else with the computer itself. I'm not too sure.

Well anyway, thanks for the help ^^
