Red X\'s with Explorer 6 - Won\'t Refresh argh!
« on: November 25, 2002, 08:29:03 AM »
Hi..running Win98
Internet Explorer 6.0.28.00

certain pictures are not showing up on web pages
red X where pic should be

when I go to a new page it won\'t refresh
until I hold down the Ctrl and f5 key

I empty my cache a few times a day,
clear my history and cookies...still nothing

Under tools I have \"check for a new version of this
page, on every visit\"

although it is not...because when I use ctrl and F5
really refreshes to what the page is supposed to be

I ran internet explorer repair tool 2 times now...nothing

My internet provider says it is my computer..then they
say its my DSL line...

I have had people tell me its a problem with my ISP main cache

I dunno who to believe...all I know is that sometimes it refreshes,
sometimes it doesn\'t....sometimes the pictures show up...sometimes they don\'t.....errrrrrrrr

any suggestions???

Thanks

what about spyware on the system. go to download.com and get ad-aware to scan the system and delete the files.

also try this, in the advanced internet options uncheck the allow 3rd party brower extenstions

all of the pictures that are not showing up are they all the same extenstions. or are all pictures not showing up?
