There's lots of legit sites out there for winning free prizes, but the best one I've encountered so far is PrizeRebel. It's possible to win video game consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii), video games, iphones, and even custom prizes from Amazon or Ebay if you want something else not listed on their site. The ability for custom prizes gives them an advantage over most sites since you can win anything you desire pretty much. All you have to do to earn the free prizes is fill out offers/surveys from other sites. I know it sounds too good to be true, but think about it like this. By filling out surveys and offers, these companies are paying PrizeRebel for giving them visitors, so in return, PrizeRebel is paying you for helping them out. Here's how the site works:
1) First you must sign up for PrizeRebel (using your real email and name)

PrizeRebel2) Once you've signed up, you can create a new email (gmail is recommended) for filling out the offers as they'll be sending a lot of spam to this email so all that matters is that it's a working email).
3) Each offer has a point value, ranging from 0.25 to 2.5. Most offers are free, so you don't have to worry about a credit card or anything like that. If you become good at doing the 1.5 offers, you can rack up points really quickly. Most offers you complete give you credit instantly, but there's a few that might take a couple hours so don't be discouraged if you don't get points immediately.
4) Here are some prize point values you might be interested in:
a) Video games = 55 points
b ) Free Xbox Live trials (1 month = 8 points, 3 months = 20 points, Year = 45 points)
c) Wii point cards (2000 Wii points = 20 points)
d) Wii = 250 points, Xbox 360 = 300 points, PS3 = 400 points
e) Apple 80 GB iPod classic = 250 points
f) Gift certicates for Ebay/Amazon = $10 gift certificate for 10 points, $20 for 20, $50 for 50 points, etc.
g) Custom prizes!!! You can claim any custom prize you see at Amazon or Ebay by providing PrizeRebel's support with a link to the item you want. The point value will usually go by the rate of $1 = 1 point.
5) Once you receive enough points for the prize you want, you claim it, and it will say pending. Then after a day or so, 'pending' will change to 'processed, which means it's been sent.
6) It'll take about 3 or 4 days for it to arrive in the mail.
It's definitely a legit site. There's a Testimonials page on the site with a huge list of photos and proof that items have been received by PrizeRebel participants. I've already received a black Xbox 360 controller from them for 40 points.
