I messed up with my win 2k system and now it doesnt boot

It gives me this error.

c:winntsystem32configsystemced is missing or corrupted.

so i went to my friends place n tried to burn the config folder on a cd rw

but couldnt copy them coz it says sharing violation.

my friend has a dual boot system win 2k on ntfs and so could not copy the files from win 98.

my question to u guys is that can i by some program or with anythin can i acces the ntfs partition through a floppy or somethin.

or can i acces ntfs with the help of a win 2k or win xp boot floppy.

First, you didn\'t pay to get support here, so don\'t expect people to drop what they\'re doing and answer every post out there.  Second, do a search, you\'ll see some posts about tools to let win98 read ntfs.

on your system boot off the w2k cd and go into recovery console.
rename the file system32configsystem
then copy the system file from the repair folder.

your back in.

Next time look on the M$ KB first, you should find it quickly.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help.  I just stopped in and I have been looking for a solution for this all over.  It worked great!
