At wits end!!

Hi all,

I really hope someone can help me.

My computer was recently infected with the Smart Antivirus 2008 MALWARE.

I used AutoRunMAn to stop it at start up. Deleted the smartantivirus.exe and deleted the registery keys
but my Internet Explorer is still playing up. It loads a page that looks legit but really wants me to download SmartAntiVirus 2009. (persistant buggers!!)

How can I stop it from going to this page?

Solved it.

By checking the active add-ons in Internet Explorer I found an entry call QXK Olive.

This was doing the redirecting of the browser. After disabling it, it worked perfect.

Thanks for your time. Sorry I posted in the wrong section. **shrugs shoulders** "Newbie"

Here is a fresh log. Umm, I also had another look at the Active X that caused some trouble and it pointed to vanwxemgbdn.exe  and to
the key {22F91F7D-B945-47AA-9C3E-B7DA5F642425} which is still in the log. I turned off the plug-in but is it safe to delete? And is there other issues in the log?

I see you have run some spyware tools on your computer

Can you run one more scanner please
download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here
Save the installer to desktop

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
     
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
     
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
      * When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
     
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

With the log from Malwarebytes, can you also post the following

Download [color=\"blue\"]random's system information tool (RSIT)[/color] by [color=\"#6600cc\"]random/random[/color] from >>[color=\"red\"]here[/color]<< and save it to your desktop.

• Double click on RSIT.exe to launch program.
  
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  
• Your firewall may alert you that RSIT is requesting Internet access. Please allow it.
  
• Once it has finished, two logs will open:  log.txt[color=\"red\"]<-- this will be maximized[/color] and info.txt[color=\"red\"]<-- this will be minimized[/color].

Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Go to START>>type services.msc in the search box
Click Continue if prompted

In the services windows
Right click on SVH
and select Properties
In the Startup type drop down box, choose DISABLED
Ensure to APPLY and then OK it

Do the same for the next service name
ETR

Then reboot your computer
