Tell me more about cdromsp2.tst, does this stop the Boot CD asking for the Service Pack CD? If so what are the file contents?

I think some of the Logitech drivers are not supported under Win2K (as per Logitech support). I have problems here with the Logitech drivers BSODing machines.

I noticed that IIS would not run on my machine after sp2. It just hangs on start up (running win2kpro on pentium iii 800). Any suggestions folks? I need it for local testing of web apps.

Thanks for the L8042pr2.sys tip on the Logitech drivers Cub-X. I was at defcon 5 and about 30 seconds away from initiating format sequence.

Ditto. I do seem to have a small problem left. Does anyone run VNC? Ever since the patch, if I try to hit the server from a client, VNC causes a BSD. I\'m just wondering if VNC is the culprit.
(Win2k Advanced Server, SP2)

cdromsp2.tst is nothing but a txt file with 0kb. Make it with notepad and but in the root of your boot cd-rom..
Or check this out.

After installing Service Pack 2 my Microsoft Digital Sound System had a lot of noise when playing back music every time i recovered from hibernation.
Solution 1 : after recovering from hibernation go standby and recover from standby... the sound is clear again
Solution 2 : uninstall SP2
I uninstalled SP2. It\'s a shame microsoft doesn\'t check compatibility of their software with their own hardware !!!

Is there some trick to extracting sp2? i have downloaded it numerous times, and not been able to extract the files once. i can only run it from the location, is there some way to add the -x switch to the internet explorer download dialog? please it\'s making me crazy.

maybe i should add, that the problem is, whenever i try to extract, or even run a service pack i\'ve downloaded, it tells me \"extraction failed. file is corrupt.\"

Is your system overclocked? That is a common cause of file extracting errors.
