Is SP2 everything you hoped it\'d be?  Did it fix all your problems, or create more?  We want to know!  If you don\'t have it already, download it here.

Well once you install SP2, you can forget any 16bit applications.   Aparently Microsoft has decided that we nolonger need them... Hmmmm?

Yeah, I slipstreamed SP2.  It\'s the same as slipstreaming SP1.  The SP2 already has all the SP1 fixes and 128-bit encryption also.  Therefore you don\'t need to do SP1 before SP2.  You can sliptream SP2 directly.  You can though slipstream SP2 over a previous slipstreamed SP1 if you already done so.  I did the install to make sure everything goes A okay on both methods already.  One minor thing though, it appears SP2 is not officially final yet.  It\'s actually RC-2, and you never know if RC-2 will be the final build or not.  Hopefully it is, cause 100 megs is a bitch to download.

I had 1 problem running SP2 with the Logitech Mouseware 9.2x drivers. It BSOD on me while booting up.

Solution : Get yer bootable W2K cd, choose for recovery, then Console mode and rename the
L8042pr2.sys file in the x:winntsystem32drivers directory.
And it runs again... (bad, bad, Micro$oft.. I thought they had tested their crap)

No other problems encountered, and didn\'t see any speed improvements on UDMA100

After installing SP2, I can no longer hibernate my Inspiron 8000.

I\'m going to have to reinstall Win2K i fear, which of course means reinstalling Office 2K, which means having to call M$ and beg for a new serial number for software I already own http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

You can just uninstall SP2 if you want (assuming you didn\'t uncheck the box to backup all your files first).

There is an office1.caB in the root of your office 2000 cd.
Have you tried reinstalling office 2000 after installing SP2?
You need the original office cd to uninstall/install office.
