Screen Rolling when I use the sidebar
« on: October 13, 2008, 08:32:01 AM »
I just reinstalled xp professional on my computer. My screen is rolling when i use my side bar slider. Does anyone know what would make that happen. It is almost a delay, like it takes a minute to reload the page, but I never lose a complete veiw of it...so the best I can describe it is it is rolling. Please help.

Your log looks good
Did you reinstall, or do a clean install?

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

I assume you mean it's just happening in IE6?
Is it on all webpages?

What are the system specs>
Such as amount of Ram,etc...

Have you tried a browser such as Firefox and see if it still happens

Have you updated all drivers specific to your computer from manufacturers website?

I just checked my device manager :
Yellow exclamation marks and question marks on these things:
and this is what they said in details.
Coprocessor _
PCI\VEN_3D3D&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_01163D3D&REV_01\4&1050102A&0&0008
Video Controller-
PCI\VEN_3D3D&DEV_000A&SUBSYS_01163D3D&REV_01\4&1050102A&0&0108

This happens in all my programs not just the web.

How would I find the drivers?

You should of got a disk with Motherboard drivers on it
You need to probably install chipset and video

What video card do you have
It should be listed under Display adapters in Device manager

What's the exact make and model of your computer

Guestolo,

I FIXED IT!!!!!! I got stuck in microsoft update for about an hour...but after I did all of the updates, i then had a video adapter show up in my device manager... then I searched how to find what video card. Found out that I have 3dlabs oxygen vx1 and downloaded the drivers...Now I just have to findout how to get teh drivers for my coprocessor and i am good to go...
I just needed you to ask me the right questions... thanks so much!!!!

Ensure to check for updated chipset drivers
That should be your SMbus driver, available on your Motherboard driver disk
Or updated ones at the manufacturers
