I would try all these steps again, just a triple check to ensure Flash gets installed correctly
Plus we're going to add in a couple steps
First, download the Flash ActiveX Installer for IE
From this link, you may have done this before, but let's try it all again
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/t..._10_ActiveX.zipSave this and Unzip it to it's own folder on desktop
Don't run it yet
Download again the Flash Installer for Firefox from this direct link
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flash...lash_player.exeSave to desktop, but Don't install it yet
Download and save the Flash uninstaller from this direct link
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashpl...lash_player.exeDon't run it yet
Some sites, while viewing Flash, need Java to go hand in hand
I know we just updated your Java, but as there was another recent update
Can you do the following
- Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
- Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 11".
- Click the "Download" button to the right.
- In the Window that opens, select Windows,>>Check the "agree" box and click Continue.
- Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
Don't run the installer yet
One more step
Download and Save to desktop JavaRa.zip
http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcef...vara/JavaRa.zipUnzip it to it's own folder on desktop
Please do the following
Open the extracted JavaRa folder and double click on JavaRa.exe to run it
In the drop down box select your language>>English
Then click Select
Select "Remove Older versions"
Yes to the prompt, If you have IE open, close it and follow the prompts
Afterwards: Click the "Additional tasks" button
Put a tick next to the following
"Remove useless JRE Files"
and "Remove Sun Download Manager"
and that's it
Then click Go
Follow the prompts
When done exit out of there
Access your Add and Remove Programs
Ensure all browser windows are closed and remove
Javaâ„¢ 6 Update 10If you also, or only find
Javaâ„¢ 6 Update 11 remove it too, we're going to reinstall
Run the Flash
Uninstaller utility from desktop
When complete you can delete the uninstaller
Then reboot your computer
Try and do the next steps with browser windows closed
If you get a prompt from your Firewall, allow it connection
Run the Java Installer
When completed, you can delete it's installer
Then, with IE closed
Open the Flash installer folder for IE and run the installer
When done, you can delete this folder
Then run the Flash installer for Firefox, ensure firefox is closed
You can delete the installer when complete
See if that helps
Done, I have Flash in Firefox and not in IE. Firefox is pretty cool by the way.
