iphone wont show up in winamp

my computer crashed and the operating system got messed up so i had to completely wipe the hard drives clean and i lost all my music in the process i tried to use winamp to get my music back on my computer but it says there arent any portable devices connected i have the ml ipod plugin version 3.6 how can i get it to work is ther any other program i can use? im on a budget of zero dollars so i cant spend anything it has to be free i have about 200 songs

Don't have an Ipod iPhone myself, what version is it?
Do you have Itunes installed?
Don't rush out to install it, just enquiring
