Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from >>here<< and save it to your desktop.
 • Double click on RSIT.exe to launch program.
 • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
 • Your firewall may alert you that RSIT is requesting Internet access. Please allow it.
 • Once it has finished, two logs will open:  log.txt<-- this will be maximized and info.txt<-- this will be minimized.
Post both those logs please
NOTE: You may get an error message posting back log.txt
If you do, can you upload it please
Use the Browse... and UPLOAD buttons on the bottom right of a reply box
A copy of log.txt can be found in the following folder

Post the log from info.txt
Copy/paste the contents back here in a reply
There's a copy in the C:\rsit folder

Did you rename log.txt by chance?

Try this for Log.txt
Open it, look for a line similiar to the following
2008-12-07 16:37:20 ----RASH---- C:\boot. ini

It's under the section
======List of files/folders modified in the last 1 months======

Can you do one of 2 things
Either, notice C:\boot. ini
I put a single space right after boot. and before ini
You can do that, or delete that line altogether

Then try copy/paste back here the contents

im sorry,i have no idea what youre talking about.

i did the rsit scan, and posted the log.txt

there was no info.txt that opened up

if i could access it and post it,i wish i could

i looked on the log and found C:\boot. ini

but im not sure what i should do after that?

its not something thats clickable,so i really dont know what to do

that really sucks huh?

if theres another way for me to get a info.txt file,id be happy to try again

thanx

Go to START>>MyComputer>>Open Local Disk C: folder
Open rsit folder

Don't you see both info.txt and log.txt?

Ok, now you posted info.txt
Now I need you to go back to the C:\rsit folder
Open it and then open log.txt
Come back here and post the whole contents

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

All I want to see is the whole log from rsit.exe titled log.txt

Can you ensure you have run a fresh scan with rsit.exe
When the log opens, save a copy to your desktop

Open that log
Look for a line similiar to the following
2008-12-27 16:37:20 ----RASH---- C:\boot. ini

It's under the section
======List of files/folders modified in the last 1 months======

Delete ONLY that line from the log

Then try posting a copy of the contents back here
Did you try that yet?

If not, I would like to use Savefile.com, but they're unavailable at the moment
Maybe you can upload a copy to Rapidshare
http://rapidshare.com/
No registration required, post the download link back here

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Okay, I see you have Avast! AntiVirus installed
And also
Anti-Virus (Command Software)

Having more than one AV installed can cause conflicts and system instabilities

Can you do the following
You have also since, installed Spybot S&D.
I want to temporarily disable the TeaTimer to eliminate it from interrupting and resources

Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner.
Click on Resident icon.
Uncheck Teatimer box.
Click Allow Change box if prompted
Close Spybot

After you disabled Teatimer, download ResetTeaTimer.bat
http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat
to your desktop. (In case you use Firefox, rightclick the link and choose "save as").
Doubleclick ResetTeaTimer.bat and let it run.
You will be prompted to select any key a couple times
This will only take a few seconds.

Afterwards: Find and delete the following file, it's no relation to TeaTimer by the way
C:\WINDOWS\tasks\ruxjptqh.job < this file

I would opt to hold onto Avast!, my personal preference
If you decide to go this route
Access your Add and Remove Programs
Remove any reference to the following
Anti-Virus (Command Software)
Authentium AntiVirus SDK - 2
Authentium Web Install Helper

Reboot afterwards
Come back and post a fresh Hijackthis log
Let me know if things have improved a bit

Also, when did you install all the following
Anti-Spyware (Sunbelt)
Anti-Spyware (Sunbelt) Definitions
Clearwire (CLUS)

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?

Follow the instructions posted http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php/topic/22942-please-read-how-to-post-logs-from-frst/\'>Click Here

It seems that Clearwire also has it's own security suite
Which could include, AV, AntiSpyware, Popup blocker
Firewall

How is your Firewall behaving?

Also, I still see signs of the other AV running
Can you go to START>>RUN>>type in services.msc
Hit OK

In the new window that opens, look on the right hand side for the following
dvpapi
Right click on it and select Properties

In the STARTUP TYPE dropdown box set to Disabled
Apply and OK it
Reboot the computer
Post a fresh Hijackhthis log

Let me know if online browsing is still slow

Do you want to post your own logs from FRST?
