I can disconnect all drives connected to my IDE cables and still enter the Bios
It is IDE right? not sure, just guessing, maybe SATA
That doesn't appear to have anything to do with it
It could be your cables itself
How about the battery to the CMOS, has it drained, they don't usually go that often
but they have been knowin' too
Disconnect all IDE cables then try booting and starting in BIOS setup
Which key you hit on keyboard, F2, delete
I'm not sure, you should be prompted
If not, ,maybe a video card issue
What do you think/
If I had the computer here, I could dig a little deeper
Look at the information you supplied
What the heck is the Make/model of computer?
when I start it up the computer makes its normal beep sound then my monitor light comes on for a sec or two then goes off to blink, then the computer will beep again, then will beep again and again and so on.
Give the EXACT beep codes, it's important to help figuring on what your problem may be
Is it One short beep, long beep
Long beep>>2 short beeps
Those are examples, what is your bios, amibios,etc........
Try a little troubleshooting on your end
Disconnect whatever does NOT need to be connected, then try booting
Can you hook the harddrive to another computer as either cable select or Slave and boot then Format it
