Hey, how are you?

I've been noticing a few hangs, and my msn suddenly stopped letting me sign in with out me repairing it from the uninstall menu.

I think it may be due to my hard drive failing... My media center doesn't work and when i go to stand by from media center the computer goes to standby but when i turn it on all i get is like a frozen blank screen with a faint outline of media center. ( probably a problem with vista) So i have to do a hard shut down I only did that twice cause i know that isn't good for the computer. But when i turned the computer back on the hard drive make like a beeping noise or maybe clicking i can't remember and then it said it need to repair files. So far now everything seems fine i just wanted you to look over my highjack this log. I will also supply an uninstall list. If you need anything else let me know.

I ran an adaware scan and found something like Win32.TrojanPakes. It removed it. But thats all i found.
I ran Spy Bot S&D and found just tracking cookies. AVG scans daily in the morning.

I take it everything is running alright still?

ok, things are running pretty smoothy i'm pretty sure my hard drive is going to go to the pits...

Also HP said Free anti-virus is crap... I don't but it i think they were just trying to sell me a paid antivirus program

Have you tried a Hard drive diagnostic test on it?

Yeah I did and everything passed. So then i ran a SMART short test in the BIOS and the test filed. I got an error of something 7(read element of the test failed) But i noticed most of the clicking has stopped and seems like everything is working ok.

Well, it sounds like everything is OK, you may want to run the long test also, give it an overnight run if you have the option
But, everything does sound alright on your end

i got same same error on long test. it wouldn't even complete it just ran for a second and got same error. but now everything seems fine. Haven't been experiencing clicking and no trouble booting anymore. Files were missing but it repaired itself or something when it first happened. I defragged the hard drive and ran disk checker at book. Everything seems fine now.
