The Blue Screen
« on: October 28, 2009, 06:07:36 AM »
Hey, it's been a while since my last consultation. Anyways, the blue screen I told you happened again just yesterday and I did what you told me to do.
So here is what it said:(I copied it manually on a piece of paper http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' /> )

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advance Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xB4CC092B, 0xB3D4471C, 0x000000000)

*** RtkHDAud.sys - Address B4CC092B base at B4C4b000, Datestamp 492bb958

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or techincal support group for further assistance.

Well, that's about it. That's all it said, word for word. http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

That's related to your Realtek Audio drivers
Have you installed the latest Audio drivers?

Here are the details of my computer, I think that's about everything. Hope you can read everything. Sorry for the very, very, very late reply. I've been busy with my studies this last few weeks, but today when I used my computer, the blue screen appeared 3 consecutive times, and I became desperate so I think I might have broken it because an error said that windows cannot start because this said file was missing or corrupted, I thin it was "Sys32"? "Win32"? or something like that. But I borrowed my friend's CD for windows xp, I didn't know what I did but it's back to normal, it was not reformatted or anything but I think I'm using this computer on borrowed time. Again sorry for the late reply.

Download OTL.exe by OldTimer to your Desktop.
 • Close all windows and double click on OTL.exe to run it
 • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted.
 • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
 • You may need to use two posts to get it all.

NOTE: If you have trouble, or an error message trying to post the logs
Can you upload it to a reply box
In a Reply, select "Browse..." on the bottom right and then navigate to the file and select it
Then click "Upload"

Here are the two log files you asked for. Anyways, last night after I post my latest reply, I got another blue screen now saying something about an Kernel error, the next thing I know, it's not reading my Hard Disk anymore. But just this morning when I tried to open it again, it proceeded to windows but another error saying unmountable or something like that. So I decided to reformat it, and now things are fine so far but I still want to proceed with this just to be safe.

If you just clean installed, I don't suspect to see any problems in OTL
So you shouldn't need it
Double click OTL.exe.
 • Click the CleanUp button.
 • Select Yes when the "Begin cleanup Process?" prompt appears.
 • If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes.
 • The tool will delete itself once it finishes.

Are you experiencing any problems?
You might want to make sure you get an AntiVirus software installed

Done. So far so good, no problems yet. And yes, I have installed an anti-virus as soon as I had reformatted it. Just a quick question though, can the Hard disk error be related to the "over usage" of this computer? Because this past few weeks, my brothers use this computer for like a minimum of 12hrs straight. Let's just say that I just have a regular Cooling system, the room is not air-conditioned and I'm in the Philippines.

I wouldn't be able to pinpoint down the exact cause
We would have to go from the Exact error message, and logs before you formatted from OTL may of helped

Oh I see. Ok, Thanks again. Everything is fine as of now, I'll just post or reply here as soon as I get a new blue screen. I'll just write the error message again. Thanks again http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />
