Hwo makes the Mainboard for the Dell 8100 Dimension 1,4 GhZ Pentium 4? I\'m trying to buy an IR-Adapter for the board but I can\'t find out the manufacturer. Any ideas?

How about trying www.dell.com? support.dell.com to be exact.  They can tell you everything a machine has by entering the serial number or express number, I don\'t remember!!!

brew me a cup. we\'re here for the long haul
if at first you dont succeed, call it version 1.0

The board is made by intel. All Dell Motherboards are intel. Only Dell would be able to try to answer your question. You can go to support.dell.com and see if you can find the answer there but Intel is the maker of the board. It has the Intel 850 chipset. How do I know all of this? I work for Dell tech support. Dell will not help you modify the motherboard or add something on to it that we cannot guarantee. Be careful when doing this.
