If you haven't done so already, go and save the installer to AVG free from this link
AVG free edition

Download and save to desktop Norton Removal Tool

Close down all open windows
Uninstall Norton's, reboot the computer afterwards
Back in Windows...
Right click on the Norton Removal tool on desktop and choose to "run as Administrator"
Follow the prompts
Reboot again afterwards

Back in Windows, install AVG free

Keep all other programs up to date
Go to the following link
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online/

Run the online scanner, I suggest the first time you run the Thorough scan
Update any software they suggest, If you have any doubts, post back and let me know

ok so it showed 3 items,,, i updated them all but one keeps comeing back.... so i assume it didnt update properly or theres something wrong with the scanner.
It keeps showing this result....even after I tryed updateing from the official site and from there supplied download link. Maybe im doing something wrong... its giveing me a zip folder so I unzip it but then what do i click on,,,, I think i clicked on all .exe's

I'd like to get you up to Adobe Flash version 10
Do the following please
Download and save to desktop adobe uninstaller from the link:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Your looking for
Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (205 KB) (updated 12/08/09)

Once saved to desktop, close all browser windows
Right cick on uninstall_flash_player.exe and choose to "Run as Administrator"
Follow the prompts
It won't take long to run, once finished, you can delete the uninstaller
Reboot your computer

Using Internet Explorer
Go visit Adobe Flash website from this link
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Choose to install the flash player, if they offer any other toolbars, etc.
Untick the option, you just need to install the Active X control and let it's downloader install the latest flash

If you use Firefox, revisit that site with Firefox also
