when i press the power button on my pc all that happens is 3 bleeps. the fans all start up, the monitor stays on stand by.
when the power is on the 3 bleeps acure there is a 10 second break then another 3 bleeps this is continuos. this is really anoying as the computer doesnt start up or anything

Could be defective ram  , or badly inserted ram

Remove an reinsert the RAM (memory sticks) on your motherboard.  If that doesn\'t work, try known good RAM or buy some new RAM.  Good luck!

100%  here   its the video card.....   take it out and put it back in....    try and  reeboot...  
i bet it works.......

Defective Ram
1)Remove the RAM & clean its Sticks
2)Clean Dust from the Ram Slot
3)Now Insert In the slot correctly

After then not works than buy a new RAM

Before the POST your pc checks for  things.
1. Mobo
2 Processor
3 Ram
4 Video

Check that each are connected properly ie, Ram Cards are in, Video is in, and Processor is connected properly, etc
