when it starts to boot at the first screen it shows the cpu as AMD 2200+ ( i gues thats right 2.2) but then when i go into system prop... it says
********************************
AMD Athlon(tm)XP 2200+
1.80GHz
********************************
does this meen im running at 1.8 .????
have i set this up right.?? as i thought the m/board was auto-detect .????

The 2200 is the performance rating...i.e. what it is compared to an intel cpu.  1.8 is the actual speed.

Yes you can overclock it with no probs(to a certain extent lol), there are heaps of sites out there with guides to O/C\'ing, just type it into google and off you go, but i have to recomend you get an extra fan for your system(maby 2 if set up correctly) to keep the heat down if your overclocking.
