In windows XP there was a way to bypass the Activation by flipping some bits in the Winlogon.exe file. I have tried this same trick on Sever 2003 RC2 and it no longer works. After exaiming the winlogon.exe file from Sever 2003 it is clearly a little different then the version in XP. Does anyone know if the Activation Code is still contained in the winlogon.exe file or did MS move the code to somewhere else? Does anyone know how to bypass the activation? Without activating MS only give you 15 days to do testing, and that is simply just not enough time.
