I have Norton AntiVirus 2002.  Once the subscription expires that anoying reminder comes up.  Your only option is to get a reminder everyday for the next 3 months or whatever.  Then you can choose to be reminded everyday or once every 15 days.  That is still to much reminding!!......Does anyone else have this problem????

How can I get this to turn off!!!!..........Modify the program?.....Registry Hack?......HOW???/

Please help

Just normal reinstalling NAV wont help. U need to delete one file from your HDD after uninstalling the NAV (Sorry cant remember which one). Than reinstall the NAV. Than it will work.

If you don’t want to pay for the yearly subscription (around 10 bucks a year) and you don’t want to buy a newer version, then you either have to live with it or uninstall Norton. There is a free anti-virus program out there called AVG.
Go here and check it out:

It might be what you’re looking for.

Ok...ok...ok

Reinstalling is not an option.  The app works just fine
Living with it is not an option.  The little window is a pain in the a$$.
Buying a new subscription is not an option.  I can still download my virus updates without upgrading, reinstalling, etc, etc...

I take it from these responses so far that no one knows how to get rid of the subscription update window??...............

Find and delete this file -->  Catalog.LiveSubscribe
Reinstall NAV 2K / 2K1 / 2K2 (might work for 2K3 too)

Yes, reinstalling adds that file back but with a newer signature and thus you get one more year of free updates. If you don't want to reinstall, you can get the file from someone else and overwrite it.

Could I modify this file myself to make it \"newer\"??......

Reason I don't want to reinstall is because it is on several computers (at work and home) and the $$ people are too greedy to upgrade all the computers.  So, I'm trying to get rid of the reminder instead.

So, are you all telling me that no body knows how to get rid of this stupid window?

I know I could buy it.....
I know I could resinstall it.....
I know I could pay the subscriptions.....etc..

but why would I do that when you can still get all the updates??.....the only problem I have is the window that pops up...

Somebody must know how to get rid of it....(other than the above things \"i know\" of)
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

For you to even take the time to make such remarks without even giving thoughts to my question, you Space Between must have lots of \"space between\" your ears.......

I'm just trying to find out something that I do not know how to do....and it seems that no one else knows how to do it either.....so I guess I am on my own......
