Check in your Router settings, it's possible that it may be set to Disconnect after so much time
You will have to access the web based config of the router
typically something like http://192.168.0.1 in your browser

On another note:
You have software that is outdated, making them insecure, or not fully doing their jobs
Let's try the following:
your version of Avira AntiVir is outdated
We should get it updated, let's ensure it's not part of the problem

You appear to be running the free version
You can download the latest free version of Avira from the following link
http://download.cnet.com/Avira-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html?part=dl-&subj=dl&tag=button
Save it to your Desktop, don't install it yet
In addition:
Please download TFC by Old Timer and save it to your desktop.
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe
Again, don't run this yet, we'll need it in a bit

Open your copy of SpywareBlaster you have installed
When it opens, select the "Disable All Protections" under the main page
Close SpywareBlaster

Enter 'Programs And Features' in Windows Control Panel
Uninstall "SpywareBlaster 4.3"

Continue to uninstall the following
Java™ 6 Update 20
Java™ 6 Update 6

Uninstall your version of Avira from 'Programs and Features' in Control Panel
After removal, ensure you reboot your computer

Back in Windows
Right-click on TFC.exe and choose Run As Administrator.
Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately.

Back in Windows
Right click on the installer for the newest version of Avira AntiVir and "Run as Admin"
Follow the prompts
Let it update and run a scan

Afterwards:
Go and install the latest version of Sun Java from the following link
http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Let me know how that all went please

GUestolo, another housemate has the same problem and isn't able to access the internet...so i'm guessing, as u said, it might be something wrong with the configuration of the wireless. A technician will be coming to check the issue. Meanwhile I will do the updating and other stuff u have suggested and let u know how it goes http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> Thanks alot for all ur help!! http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

P.S Like I mentioned earlier, after I clear the cookies and etc and restart everything, the internet runs perfectly fine until I turn the pc off and try to use the internet again. So it may be a ip adderess or other issue. I also noticed that the windows cleanup cleared a Telnet MRU list. Was just thinking whether it being clearerd had something to do with the whole issue. Anyway, I will let u know how everything goes after the updating and after the technician comes over.
