Overheating beeping laptop
« on: May 08, 2012, 04:37:15 AM »
I have a Compaq 615 laptop running on Win 7 Professional. Of late the laptop has started to overheat for no apparent reason, with the fan internally running constantly as if some process is running continuously. It is also making beeping sounds with the sounds occurring 1-2 every second constantly, again for no apparent reason. Please help!

Download OTL.exe by OldTimer to your Desktop.
 • Right click on OTL.exe and choose to "Run as Administrator"
 • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted.
 • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
