Writting To Dvd-rw 4.7 Gb Cd's

Was given a pack of DVD-RW 4.7 gig cd's. Can these be used in a non dvd burner and still use the 4.7 gigs?

Those can only be used in a DVD burner.

On a side note, what kind are they? if they are DVD-RW and not DVD+RW I'd be intrested in buying them.  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />
