Bios upgrade problems
« on: June 07, 2001, 09:44:17 AM »
I am having a problem with my old computer. I upgraded the bios, as desribed in the motherboard manual. It took the upgrade fine, but when I boot it up, it gives me this error:

Floppy Disk(s) fail (C0)

Everything else seems to work fine, it boots into Windows. I checked the CMOS, floppy disk controller is enabled. But seeing as how the floppy isn\'t working, I can\'t restore the original bios, which I backed up.

Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem, or a way for me to reinstall the original bios.

I would really appreciate the help. Thanks

Sal

Was the fd working before you upgraded your bios? Have you tried swapping out the old fd with another one? Have you checked that you plugged everything in right on the fd? when you boot, does the fd light just stay on? more info

Was your fd bootable ,was it ok.
If you have an award bios you can even put an autoexec.bat on your floppy with the flash program followed by the bin file
