« on: July 30, 2003, 10:28:13 PM »
I am trying to using my win2k machine which has a dial-up modem to share the internet connection.

Shared the internet connect on win2k.
IP. 192.168.0.1

the other win98 machine assign ip auto.

can see each other, share files and so on.

Both can send email. But only win2k can surf the net...

Why?

The win98 machine always display "connecting to 207.68.171.247" which is msn.com but never go through.

Please help me.

Thanks.

Have you tried using static ip's on the w98 machines?
May be worth a go, don't forget to check the subnet also 255.255.255.0
