What OS are you using? I've never heard of this before. Are you doing it from Start/Run?

Sounds like you've got the blaster worm. I had it last week.  Run this on your computer, http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...er/FixBlast.exe Make sure you have disabled System Restore first.

 Hi,I am a newbie,
I am also experiencing the 2 second flash on the screen when I try to run msconfig. I have downloaded and run the Blasterwormk fix with system restore turned off. Now nothing happens at Start, Run, no sight of msconfig not even the 2 second view. I am running XP Pro s/P 1.

Any ideas please

Thanks
