[quote name=\'David Caulfield\' date=\'Nov 15 2003, 05:27 PM\']Great news after much searching I found a solution that works!
I was getting the svchost error whilst on the net like everyone else recently. It does seem to be due to the blaster worm. Here is what to do, it takes time but it did work.
Download and run service pack 4, or at least have service pack 3 installed. It takes upto 2 hours to download so be patient.

Let me know how you got on lovely people.

I've been trying to access windows update. Unfortunately now, though my dial-up is connecting, what i now get are "these page cannot be displayed" and "dns error" messages.
I cannot browse. I tried my yahoo mail. it takes too long to download the pages.
Is it too late? What can I do? Are there any shortcuts or tools in removing the worm and repair what it damaged.
I already run fixblast and it said the worm has not been found on my computer. Not anymore. But I still get the svchost error message and can't download pages
