Tech Clinic / New hard to deal virus
« on: July 19, 2008, 11:03:21 PM »
<br />I tryed another LCD monitor with a pc cable, and its still the same ( before i used a HDMI cable with the LCD television screen ).<br />
<br /><br /><br />

If its integrated w/ the mobo...and it is possible its the graphics card....you might as well scrap the mobo..and start thinking of getting a new one...

Had the same problem w/ the Compaq HPD530 small tower- windows doesnt have the chance to load ...it somewhat freezes and the monitor goes to idle...

Change PS, clean the processor and nothing works for me.....might as well collect dust!!!!

Are both FREEWARE base programs SAS & MB are all up 2 date??? Because the other day i notice my firefox was loading very slowly(not normal- homepage is google) and I ran both SAS & MB and it says clean but when I ran pc tools SD- I had 8 virus /trojans and 42 infections but spyware doctor cant clean it all the way thru.

I ran all the programs you guys use in here... DSS-ComboFix to SDFix and I am wondering if its possible to run all those programs w/o using any codes since both CB and SDFix both deleted the trojans.

Now its working properly- Clean like a baby's butt!!!

Just I thought I would share and see if anyone had a similar XPerience!!!

I 've checked both forums here and Tech Guy, everything seem to be in order as far as the steps. Really awesome how each site can be as a help over the internet!

Take these programs out from your startup!
Is it you don't like IE7?  http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
Or is there really a problem?

You don't really run BitDefender AV + SpywareDoctor AV actively in the background do you?
This will cause conflicts and may slow the system considerably
Or do you use one as a background (On-demand) scanner?
1)  EI is ok, I'm not very fond of it since I have more options w/ Firefox.  Firefox can delete all your cookies, history once you close your browser plus the most important part is the multiple windows you can open in one window with the "TAB"

2) I've tried using both at the same time but I have notice a slow down on my puter, so I just use BitDefender by itself and turn on the Spyware Dr whenever I decided to scan my puter for spyware...

Software / Windows XP Phone Activation
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:48:09 AM »
Hi,

I am in search of a program I used about a year ago and am having problems finding it again.
The program was a key generator for Windows XP phone activation. Step one would provide the microsoft phone code that would be entered into the activation. the next step the activation would provide code to give you the serial from the generator and then you put new serial in and your good to go. If anyone has this generator or knows where I could find it it would be great.

Thanks
Are you serious??? You want the "LONG" route or you want the "SHORT RIDE"?

Short ride:  Use Limewire and search for " LICENSE", I'm pretty sure you will get alot of hits and LOOK for the KEYS you're trying to find.... keep looking and you will find the "ANSWER" to your problem.... I did!

I was just like you before...now I can DL and update M$ updates w/o any " F E A R " of getting lock out of my puter!

just my 2cents...

http://www.bitdefender.com/PRODUCT-14-en--...ee-Edition.html    <<<<<< FREE Edition

#1 Antivirus in 2008   second goes to Kaspersky

CHECK IT OUT >>>>>>>   http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

NOTE:  "EVERYTHING" can be FREE even for "SUPPOSELY paid subcription software .... IMO

Software / Win XP Activation crack
« on: June 15, 2008, 04:53:49 AM »
http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> Alright, I borrowed Win XP froma friend, original version. I installed and found I have to crack it with in 30 days, 26 days as of this writing. My tech-expert sent me this file called, winxp_crk. And gave me instructions to crack the activation thing.
I found out in the readme, that i have to uninstall the SP1 patch if I have it(?). Though he says I don't have to uninstall it. now, can someone please explain to me how I can sucesfully get the activation thingy off my butt?
http://images.thetechguide.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' /> Here s what you need to do with XP Corp Edition... to make it " LEGIT "

1-  Before you format your hard drive, get Limewire and SEARCH for " license "
You should get alot of hits..... Look for XP CD keys and hopefully you will find a KEY that says it was from a student or university XP KEY

2- once formated your drive, type in the new KEY you got from limewire....

3- It should be ACTIVATED and good to go.

4- One way to check it is to try to download WMP 11 and see if you can download and install it...once you are able to do it..you're as good as gold!
