It has nothing to do with using a computer, it has to do with "rights to businesses". It is his oppinion that businesses should be allowed to do whatever they want with the products they sell. It is his oppinion that ISP's should be allowed to do whatever they want with the internet connections they sell. If this is allowed, then ISPs will start limiting the internet access that they send out. You will start buying individual sites much like how you buy individual TV stations now. "OK sir, that will be an extra $3 a month for Showtime." will become "OK sir, that will be an extra $3 a month for Youtube." Some ISP's will go a different route and allow all websites, but allot most of their bandwidth to certain sites. Meaning Myspace and Youtube will remain normal, but TheTechGuide will be insanely slow in an effort to get you to use their affiliates over others.
He might not know any of this, he might not know what a keyboard is for all I care, but if he gives the rights to businesses to do whatever they want with their products, it is inevitable. It has already happened in hundreds of countries, it is happening in the UK in 2009, it will happen in the US if McCain becomes president, end of story.

But now that you mention it, why would ANYONE ever vote for a leader who doesn't use computers? We are at a point in time where technology is no longer an option. Newspapers are limited, the internet is not. Mail is slow, email is immediate. Going to a store proves limited inventory, buying something online allows you to see every product that you could possibly be looking for. Why elect a president that has and will continue to knowingly oppose technological advancement?

People need to stop saying "Well, we have to choose one of them..." and start realizing that the fact that you do not like either candidate combined with the fact that you have no alternative choice is WRONG. If the majority of the country can collectively agree on the fact that neither candidate is fit for the job, then new candidates should be chosen. "Settling" on someone who is going to lead your country for the next 4 years is the most idiotic thing I have heard in my life. People need to stand up, spread the truth, stop watching corporate media and believing everything they hear, and realize that they are adding to the downfall of our country by compromising with the flawed system we have transformed our "democratic" political society into...
