[color=\"#800080\"]So, as most of you have read, Account Sales and I had a bit of a bad trade. Although, this was
not intentional. Here's a summary of what happened:

- I offered him a level 86 (perm muted) with 92 wc for $5 and a one month membership pin. I did not specify whether I wanted a PBP pin or an SMS pin.
- He agreed to the deal, and we spoke on msn. I went first.
- He wanted to get a PBP pin, because it's cheaper, but he hadn't ever bought a pin via phone before. (Nor have I).
- He told me to go to the subscription page and get the number for him to phone (he was phoning from America so I said I was subscribing from the U.S. on the subscription page).
- I gave him the number, he phoned it, but after a few rings the phone just hung up.
- He was a little suspicious of this, so he decided to check his phone bill. The bill came to $9.99, when Jagex only charges $7.99 for this type of transaction.
- He thought I had given him a number that charges him an amount, (so he basically thought i was scamming him) and he decided to take my account from me without giving me the pin or the $5.00, claiming he was someone else who had used a keylogger to use Account Sales MSN to scam me.
- I found all the proof I could that the person I was speaking to really was Account Sales, and I found all the proof I could that he scammed me.
- I then posted about this in Trader Feedback, and he then admitted to scamming me, but only because he thought I was scamming him. He said he'd keep the account until I found legitimate reasons as to why he was overcharged.
- I found some possible reasons off of the RuneScape forums, but they didn't seem to fit the bill.
- I found a similar case where a mother of two posted a blog entry about two charges appearing in her children's cellphone contracts, both of these charges were $9.99. They were monthly charges, and her cellphone company said to disable some features and that the charge would go away, but it didn't, and I noticed that on her bill, the company charging her the $9 was the famed Surfpin (which is the company that handles the SMS and PBP membership subscriptions on runescape).
- Account Sales is now getting me a membership pin. (I'm not too sure if the $5.00 is still coming though) [color=\"#0000ff\"]You hear that? Account Sales is still getting me a Pin! But he needs to buy it first, so please, add him on MSN if you're selling! (He is buying two pins)[/color]
[color=\"#800080\"]Now, from what has happened and what has been said above, I ask each and every one of you reading this for your opinion on the situation, and, if possible, any extra knowledge you might know about why it has happened, and if it has happened to any of you or your friends before?
I fear that this situation might occur again on TheTechGuide, and I wish for people to be better equipped for handling this occurence in the future, just to avoid anymore misunderstandings. The reason why this is such a bad situation, is that both Account Sales and I have lost some of the trust that you readers have invested in us. (We would like to earn this back).
