what exactly are you trying to do with the ntoskrnl executable? it's not meant to be opened directly, the idea is to replace your original with the modified copy you obtained.

The only way to do this would be with something like laplink, http://www.laplink.com/ i haven't used it in a very long time so i don't know if it still supports dos, but it may. A far easier solution would be to use two network cards and a crossover cable, dos networking support is terrible but it's a lot easier, and faster for that matter, than parallel.

It is not possible to install this copy of windows 2000 on another computer without violating the license, even if you were to uninstall it from your dell computer you would still be legally unable to install in any place else, such are the terms it was sold under. There are, of course, ways around this. However, this is not the place to discuss such methods.

depends on what you want to do with the cds. if you want to watch them with your dvd player, go here http://vcdhelp.com. if you're just looking to store them you do it like any other data cd.

if you're only getting 16 colors there's something wrong with your video card driver, or rather it sounds like you're using the generic vga driver. bear in mind that there is a difference between 16 colors and 16 bit color. Windows should have provided the correct driver for that card, but here's a link to ibm's site for what looks like the right driver.

Hardware / installing debian linux

you can use almost any burning software to burn an iso. such as nero, or easy cd creator. installing debian isn\'t that hard, most questions are straight forward. if it proves to difficult, try a diffrent distubution based off of debin, but with easier insatllers. such as or Progeny if you need some help installing, feel free to stop by chat

got my 700 a few days ago, it runs 933 no prob, i haven\'t tried any higher but i will. i don\'t think i will be able to get an higher because of my ram.....
